Next Thursday the 28th of August the Azimut Café will be celebrating 1 year of successful Sunset Jazz Nights, an occasion which will be made extra special, with the addition of a marvellous photographic art exhibit, presented by Mary Rosa Jimenez, Clara Martinez Thedy and Sandra Garip. What better way to start the Semana Santa celebrations!
There can be no doubt that the addition of an art exhibit to the already beautiful location of the Azimut Café at the water’s edge in the Marina Casa de Campo, will be simply wonderful!
Chasing the Blues by Mary Rosa Jimenez
With more than 25 years experience as a photographic artist, Mary Rosa Jimenez’s current interests include capturing reflections in windows and glass, as well as the interesting juxtaposition of an advertising panel and bystander – something we can all look forward to seeing!
Meanwhile Clara Martinez Thedy, also with more than 25 years experience, is the Dominican Ambassador to the Arab Emirates, an example of her work can be seen on the right – this beautiful shot is called “Mar Ansioso”. And Sandra Garip, who, relatively new to the photography field has already earnt a herself a good reputation on an international scale – and just won the APECO photography prize, one of the most prestigious photography competitions in the Dominican Republic.
