Ready, steady… Play Ball! Keep close your orange outfits and horns, because the Dominican Winter Baseball Season 2014-2015 is just around the corner. This championship will start officially on Thursday October 16th, and what a better place to carry out the inaugural game that in our beloved Francisco A. Micheli Stadium – home of Los Toros del Este!
Currently, all the teams are hard at work doing pre-season training – each team with high hopes of being crowned as the winner of the best baseball tournament in the Caribbean.
On Thursday October 16th, all the passion and excitement of the Dominican baseball will be focused on La Romana city, with a match between los Toros del Este and las Estrellas Orientales – the inaugural game which will feature a parade, fireworks and more in celebration!
The regular calendar of games starts the next day (Thursday October 16th) with matches between Leones and Tigres in Santo Domingo, Aguilas against Gigantes in San Francisco de Macoris and finally Toros versus Estrellas in San Pedro de Macoris.

How to get there: Leaving Casa take a left towards La Romana, drive straight through La Romana until you reach the big crossroads of the La Romana – San Pedro highway (see map below or click here to view in google maps) Turn right and the stadium will be on your left. If you do not know the area well it’s best to go in taxi or take a tour.
