The annual Fundación MIR “Magical Splendor for Life Weekend 2011” took place over the weekend of the 21st to the 23rd of January 2011 with a sensational dinner-dance gala with an unforgettable fashion show by Badgley Mischka in Altos de Chavón and a golf tournament played on the la Romana Country Club golf course in Casa de Campo.
The Fundación MIR charitable organisation was founded in La Romana in the Dominican Republic more than 20 years ago by Lian Fanjul de Azqueta, with the aim of bringing education to the young people of La Romana. Every year the Fundación MIR hosts the “Magical Splendor for Life Weekend” to raise funds to further develop their educational projects.
Here we bring you a summary of the various aspects of the Magical Splendor for Life Weekend event, which took place in Casa de Campo in January 2011.
Magical Splendor For Life Gala: Dinner, dance and fashion show The MIR Magical Splendor for Life fundraising weekend came to a spectacular close on Saturday night the 22nd of January with Ron Atlantico mojitos, dinner catered by Le Cirque, the Badgley Mischka fashion show, live music with the ‘Hermanos Rosarios’ and after party with DJ Gringo! Oh what a night!
The Badgley Mischka Fashion Show The Badgley Mischka fashion show during the Fundacion MIR’s Magical Splendor for Life Gala on saturday the 22nd of January was for fashionistas (and all women who like pretty dresses) wonderful. All the dresses were simply stunning.
