We often see people wearing hats and somehow we notice something is not right. Either the hat is too big or too small, or the shape of the hat is not appropriate to the shape of the face.
For those of us wanting to wear a hat, rather than have the hat wear us, once again it’s all about matching the shape of the hat to the shape of your face!
As a general rule (always bearing in mind that rules are meant to be broken), we must wear hats that are the OPPOSITE to the shape of our face. For example; if you want to stylize and lengthen your face, you need to wear hats with high crowns or vertical texture, and if you want to achieve the opposite, you should wear hats with flattened crowns that are wide at the height of the cheekbones.
First of all, here are the types of hat:

And now the hats to choose according to the shape of your face:
Oval Face
Ladies with an oval-shaped face can play a little when choosing a hat, because their face shape allows them to wear several types of hats, but they look better wearing wide-brimmed, flexible, berets and sailor or boater type hats.

Round Face
For the round-shaped face ladies, my recommendation is that you wear the Fedora, flexible and irregular wide-brimmed type hats, which will help to lengthen your face.

Rectangular Face
Those ladies with rectangular faces should wear flared wings, Fedora, newsboy, broad-brimmed or bell type hats. This way, you will soften your cheeks.

Square Face
The ladies with a square-shaped face should wear berets, narrow winged, high crown, floppy or Fedora type hats in order to soften and elongate their faces.

Triangular Face
Those of you with a triangular face look great with asymmetric winged and high crowned hats.

Diamond Face
The ladies with diamond-shaped faces can wear medium winged hats and Fedora type hats with the ribbon on the edge.

Heart-Shaped Face
The ladies with heart-shaped faces should wear floppy hats, berets, broad-brimmed or boater type hats.
