On March 10 the Real Madrid Foundation inaugurated the third headquarters of its Soccer School in Casa de Campo. The event took place on the Casa de Campo soccer field in La Romana and was attended by the director of Institutional Relations of Real Madrid, and soccer legend, Emilio Butragueño; Carmelo Zubiaur, president of the Armid Foundation, social partner of the three soccer schools of the Foundation in the Dominican Republic; Alejandro Abellán, Ambassador of Spain to the Dominican Republic; Andrés Pichardo, president of Casa de Campo, Juan Velázquez, vice president and administrator of Costasur Dominicana, guests of honor and fifty hundred students accompanied the authorities present at the event.
Mr. Emilio Butragueño, expressed his gratitude and support to the Casa de Campo institution, personalities, sponsors and attendees to the event. In addition, he explained to the players, members of the new headquarters, the values that have made Real Madrid great, being able to enjoy the methodology of the world soccer benchmark. During the event, the guests were able to learn more about the extraordinary infrastructure created, having a soccer field with FIFA regulatory dimensions, high-quality natural grass, and automated irrigation sprinklers.
The ARMID Foundation – Real Madrid Foundation has been in the country since 2015 creating the first Soccer School in the entire American continent, and opening its first headquarters in Santiago and then in Santo Domingo. Real Madrid, one of the most recognized teams in world football, which through its Real Madrid Foundation and together with the ARMID Foundation, have worked together to contribute to those in need in the country, supporting various social causes and awakening the interest of children and youth in soccer, the king of the world.

Following its motto “Train like the best”, the Soccer School’s sports program takes place during the school period, it is aimed at boys and girls from 7 to 17 years old who count on the training sessions with the supervision of coaches highly trained and bilingual from the Real Madrid Foundation. Mr. Óscar Díez Hernández, who has an extraordinary resume, will direct the school in Casa de Campo.
This school also has scholarships for 50% of the students with the aim of facilitating access to children with different needs, in this case proceeding from the Fundación MIR, the Hogar del Niño and children from the Casa de Campo community.
