The 14th annual Hogar del Niño fundraising weekend will take place in just a few short weeks and now is the time to sign up to take part in all (or some) of their fun tournaments, activities and the celebratory dinner-dance!

The 14th annual Hogar del Niño event is held ever year to raise funds for the Hogar del Niño, which is a children’s day care centre in La Romana, which cares for more than 1,000 children everyday – providing them with food, education, clean clothes and even dental and healthcare! To keep up this incredible work the Hogar del Niño need every penny they can get, to make sure every one of their children are properly cared for – so support the Hogar del Niño by taking part in at least one of their many activities! All the money raised goes to support their many projects at the Hogar del Niño – and everything is very reasonably priced so everyone can at least give something!

Here is the program of events taking place over the special Hogar del Niño Weekend:

Friday 18th February

Tour of the Hogar del Niño
When: 10AM-12PM
Where: Tour departs from CDC
Cost: FREE!

Homes and Gardens Tour
When: 2pm-6pm
COST: USD$50
Where: Around various private villas and gardens in Casa de Campo

Final of the Hogar del Niño Polo Tournament
When: 4pm-7pm
Where: The Casa de Campo Polo Fields
Cost: Free for spectators

Saturday 19th February

Golf Tournament
When: 8am and 1:30pm
Where: La Romana Country Club
Cost: USD$ 225 (includes entrance to the dinner)

Tennis Tournament
When: 8am and 1:30pm
Where: La Romana Country Club
Cost: USD$ 225 (includes entrance to the dinner)

1st MTB Marathon: Bike Marathon!
When: 8am – 12:30pm
Where: Departs from and returns to the La Romana Country Club
Cost: USD$25 (does not include the dinner)
A prize-giving ceremony will take place at the La Romana Country Club directly after the bike marathon.

Dinner-Dance and Party!
When: 7pm
Where: The La Romana Country Club
Cost: USD$125

The annual Adopt A Crib, Thank you dinner will be held on the 26th of February – this dinner is held every year to thank the members of the Casa de Campo community (and beyond) who donate money to the ‘Adopt a Crib’ scheme, to become a member of this scheme requires a minimum donation of USD$1,000.
