This morning, Padre Victor Garcia of the St Stanislaus church in Altos de Chavón held a blessing ceremony to officially inaugurate the annual MIR Bazaar held at the La Romana Country Club to raise funds for the Fundación MIR.
Magdalena Garcia and Padre Victor at the MIR Bazaar
The MIR Bazaar, this year sponsored by Silgon Inc., Marketing, Web Development & Publishing Services, will be open until this Sunday the 7th of April and offers Casa de Campo shoppers a wide range of wonderful things to buy – jewellery, arts and crafts, home decor items, clothing, and much more!
Amongst the vendors we spotted Jenny Polanco with the new collection of bathing suits by Carolina Socias, Rubiluna and Domiziano ceramics – all from the Marina Casa de Campo, my favorite clothing boutique Cabana, lots and lots of beautiful jewellery, as well as some beautiful homeware items… and much much more! This year the MIR Bazaar is brimming with more vendors than ever before so we look forward to seeing you there!
Also taking part in the MIR Bazaar for the first time is Allegra Fanjul of Allegra Fanjul Designs, who we were privileged to recently interview about her participation – please click here to read the interview!

Allegra Fanjul, niece of Lian Fanjul de Azqueta founder of the Fundación MIR is this week taking part in the MIR Bazaar for the first time – with her exclusive collection of jewelry “Allegra Fanjul Designs”.
And so with Allegra currently vacationing in Casa de Campo we grabbed a few minutes of her time to bring you an interview with the young designer, who, despite having only graduated last year already counts celebrities such as Olivia Wilde and Maria Shriver amongst her clients.
