sergio gobbiOn Saturday January the 5th 2013, gifted Casa de Campo villa owner and producer, Sergio Gobbi, celebrated the release of “Affaires Étrangeres Cuba” (Cuban Foreign Affairs), the 4th episode of the series “Affaires Étrangeres“, with a screening at the Caribbean Cinemas movie theater in the Marina Casa de Campo. In the company of Sergio Gobbi and his beautiful wife, Corinne, the special guests enjoyed an enthralling 90 minute show, on this occasion based in Cuba, a story which was ever bit as thrilling as past episodes – with numerous very unexpected twists and turns.

Affaires Étrangeres Cuba” (Cuban Foreign Affairs), was filmed in the Dominican Republic and produced by Les Films de L’astre in collaboration with Dominican company; Compañia Internacional Dominicana. Once again taking the lead role was David Mercier, played by actor Bernard Yerlès, who was also the lead in all previous episodes; Affaires Étrangeres Republic Dominicaine – which even featured scenes filmed in Casa de Campo, as well as Affaires Étrangeres Cambodge and Affaires Étrangeres Maroc.

corinne gobbi lian fanjul de azqueta The cast of French actors included Anna Galiena, Bernard Yerlès and Audrey Fleurot, who were joined by Dominican actors; Frank Perozo, Augusto Ferias, Mario Arturo Hernández and Víctor Checo, among others. Following the showing, Sergio’s special guests, amongst them Casa de Campo villa owners of all nationalities; Italian, French and Dominican, were invited to celebrate the occasion with a Cuban-themed dinner hosted at the Casa de Campo Yacht Club – with typically Cuban food, such as “ropa vieja”, as well as some rather impressive decorations – including a red automobile and of course – a Cuban flag, designed by Amelia Pereya, Sarah Troncoso and Malele Strofer of “Tres Eventos”. Amongst the very special guests were Roberto Bonetti, Gustavo and Patricia Cisneros and Lian Fanjul de Azqueta, as well as Ellís Pérez the National Director of Cinema for the Dominican Republic, Leticia Tonos the first female Director of Dominican Cinema and former Miss Dominican Republic, Dalia Fernandez accompanied by Gonzalo Vargas Llosa Jr. the son of Mario Vargas Llosa, author of the book, Feast of the Goat – who recently supported “Tejiendo Futuro” a fundraising event held in Altos de Chavón. Also proud to take part in the event was Leo Proaño, who grew up in Casa de Campo and who was the Line Producer for who was the Line Producer for Affaires Étrangeres Cuba.

Also in attendance was Frank Perozo, who, as an actor in Affaires Étrangeres Cuba, was quiet the star of the evening (second only to Sergio himself) – and as such attracted quiet a lot of attention from admiring female (and male) fans, who were all keen to pose for photos with the handsome star. sergio gobbi leo proano Did you know? Sergio’s career in the film industry began in 1958 and since then Sergio has acted in 4 movies, written 28, directed 21 and produced 23! And, Sergio, working with Casa de Campo local, Leo Proaño as Executive Producer, has just finished another movie “Cristo Rey”, which now in “post-production” and will, if all goes to plan, be shown at the Cannes film festival in May and released in the Dominican Republic in November.
