Distinguished artist and Casa de Campo villa owner, Fernando Varela invites you to a “Summer Cocktail” from 6pm on Thursday August 8th, to be held at his new art space located on the Calle Barlovento in the Marina Casa de Campo.
In December last year, Varela celebrated the opening of an art space on the Paseo del Mar of the Marina Casa de Campo with an inauguration sponsored by Silgon Inc. with Casa de Campo Living and Chivas Regal 18 (click here for photos of the this event). This exhibition; “Fernando Varela Recent Works – Paintings/Drawings” has now been re-located to Jardin #20 of the Calle Barlovento, the Marina Casa de Campo’s main shopping area and is very easy to find next door to the Progreso bank.
All Casa de Campo villa owners, residents and art aficionados are cordially invited to join us for the “Summer Cocktail”, your opportunity to get to know the new location, as well as a number of new pieces which have been recently added to the exhibition – including a striking purple painting (pictured above).
Fernando Varela is considered to be one of the Dominican Republic’s most internationally successful artists. Famous for his contemporary paintings, the artworks of Fernando Varela form part of important art collections both nationally and internationally. The exhibit, a mixture of Varela’s most recent works features pieces from 3 collections; Origins, Primary Forms and Caribbean Series.
