fundacion MIRSave the date! The 22nd annual Magical Splendor for Life by the Fundación MIR is slated for Saturday the 19th of January 2013.

This year, the Magical Splendor for Life by the Fundación MIR, one of Casa de Campo’s most elegant social and fundraising occasions will be more glamorous than ever before- with the main event being hosted for the first time by Alfy and Raysa Fanjul at their Casa de Campo estate, Casa Grande.

The event, which will raise funds for the continued growth of the Fundación MIR’s many projects- including their 3 schools in La Romana, will tee-off with a golf tournament played at the La Romana Country Club and be followed by the dinner-gala at Casa Grande, once again sponsored by Tiffany & Co with their Mystery Blue Box Wall and for the 3rd consecutive year a fashion show by special guest designers; Badgley Mischka.

Also coming up soon is the Cartier Benefit, an elegant fundraising event, to be celebrated on Saturday the 29th of December 2012, also at Casa Grande, when funds will be raised for the Fundación MIR, as well as the Hogar del Niño, education and daycare center in La Romana.

The 21st annual Magical Splendor for Life fundraising weekend took place on Friday and Saturday the 27th and 28th of January with a fabulous gala and fashion show by Badgley Mischka, a golf tournament and exclusive VIP dinner.

The Fundación MIR is a non-profit organization which works to provide education to the children of the greater La Romana area, who are most in need. They run 3 schools; the MIR Esperanza (boys vocational school), the Escuela Tecnica Vocacional Fundación MIR (girls vocational school) and the Primaria MIR (infants school).
