It seems like yesterday that we were celebrating the 2015 Fundación MIR Family Weekend for Life with a fabulous golf tournament, tennis tournament and gala! Well time sure flies by, because we are already getting our golf clubs, racquets and party outfits ready for the 2016 Fundación MIR Family Weekend which has been announced to take place on August 13 and 14, 2016!

If you were not able to attend last year’s Family Weekend for Life or if you want to relive all of the fun, take a look at the short video we put together to recap all the excitement!

This year’s Family Weekend for Life promises to be another one for the books, as the traditional sports events and gala will now be accompanied by a Welcome Party which is not to be missed. We hope to see everyone dancing the night away at Casa de Campo’s own Genesis Night Club on Friday, August 12, since DJ Gringo is being flown from Miami to get the party started off on the right foot!

As Lian Fanjul de Azqueta, President of Fundación MIR, told us recently in an exclusive interview (read it all here!), the Casa de Campo community’s support to this, and the rest of the Fundación MIR events we enjoy throughout the year are vital to maintaining the foundation’s truly heroic programs to educate the children of La Romana:

“Thanks to the Casa de Campo community’s continued support and interest in our children’s welfare and development, our students have been able to achieve their goals, succeed, and fulfill their dreams of becoming successful adults. Fundación MIR is blessed by the community’s willingness to assist the children and families in what they need the most, education and welfare. Whether our friends at Casa de Campo attend events, donate to special projects, or visit the schools, their support is greatly appreciated.” – Lian Fanjul de Azqueta
