Just days after we hear that Duran Duran will soon be performing at the Altos de Chavón Amphitheater, we find out that Victor Manuelle and Don Omar will be here in concert even sooner!
*UPDATE* This ‘rumor’ has now been confirmed!
Again, as with the Duran Duran concert we have been unable to confirm this ‘rumor’ officially with Casa de Campo and Altos de Chavón (our normal source is on vacation), however as ‘Ticket Express’ are already selling tickets, it is pretty safe to say that this concert is going ahead!

The event called ‘Encuentro de Dos Grandes’, literally meaning ‘Meeting of 2 bigs’ (perhaps a better translation would be ‘Meeting of 2 big stars’ or ‘Meeting of 2 great artists’), is being presented by César Suárez Jr and will take place on Saturday the 23rd of April, ‘Sabado Santo’ – one of the busiest days of the year in Casa de Campo – when many villa owners or visitors from Puerto Rico and Santo Domingo come to Casa de Campo to enjoy the parties over the ‘holy weekend’ (which is a little ironic really…..) Last year, for Sábado Santa, Casa de Campo locals and ‘Semana Santa’ visitors enjoyed Daddy Yankee in concert before hitting Playa Minitas for an all night party with Praia.
Don Omar is a very famous and successful Reggaetón singer, whilst Victor Manuelle is a Latin Grammy nominated Puerto Rican American salsa singer and songwriter, specializing in ‘Salsa Romantica’ – the 2 different genres of music are quiet different, Reggaetón can be very racy and is often overtly sexual whilst ‘salsa romantica’ is romantic! Both types of music are very popular in the Latin world, so I imagine the mix of the 2 artists together should be quiet spectacular! I personally love Reggaetón and I love Salsa even more – so I’m very excited about this concert!
