Last Sunday the 4th of September the Dominican Republic was thrilled to welcome STING to the Altos de Chavón open-air amphitheater in Casa de Campo La Romana – to rapturous applaud, screaming, singing and plenty of dancing!
STING first made an appearance in Altos de Chavón, Casa de Campo in 2006 when he also performed at the Altos de Chavón amphitheater to a crowd of more than 5,000 fans – a concert which was heralded by many as “legendary” and one of the best concerts ever to take place in Altos de Chavón (2nd only to Frank Sinatra). With such high expectations, some had doubts that STING could pull off an equally impressive concert the second time round – but from what I have heard on Facebook and Twitter – the general consensus seems to be that , YES he did pull it off!
Sting rocks out in Altos de Chavón for the 2nd time!

For many, STING wasn’t just a concert, but rather a fiesta (party) with over 5,000 revellers, with one thing in common – STING! With all eyes turned towards the musical legend it was party central as everyone danced, bounced and waved their arms to STING’s popular solo songs and legendary hits from his era with “The Police.”
STING rocked out to a full-house in Altos de Chavón

For those of you who are huge fans and were too busy dancing to note down the “set list” (who would do that?) here it is: STING in Altos de Chavón – set list!
