La Romana Family Clinic is reincorporating its usual schedule of health services to the La Romana community, after two and a half months of offering limited hours and services due to COVID-19. Starting June 1 they will be open Monday through Thursday from 7 AM-5 PM and Friday from 7 AM-4 PM. Services already available include general medicine, gynecology and obstetrics, pulmonology, pediatrics, family planning, clinical laboratory, X-rays, sonography, mental health, and comprehensive care. Every two weeks, other services that were already part of the Clinic’s service portfolio will be joining, with the aim of offering a complete portfolio, as usual. This information will be disclosed through their social networks on Instagram and Facebook, entering as @clinicadefamilia.
It will also be offering a new Preventive Package, which will allow users to have a general check-up, after spending several months at home without being able to see a doctor. This package will include the main laboratory tests for a general check-up, for both men and women. For women in addition to laboratory tests, they may also include a pap smear and a sonogram. The price of this special offer will be published on their social networks later. The Clinic has the main ARS to offer its services as well as for this Preventive Package.
For the provision of services, the Family Clinic has created a protocol for attending the general public, managing a limit of users in each waiting area to ensure social distancing and the mandatory use of masks. A disinfecting gel is placed at the entrance of the Clinic facilities, as well as in the different waiting rooms, to prevent the transmission of COVID-19. The staff of the Family Clinic is using the personal protective equipment necessary to protect their users, in addition to offering the necessary guidelines so that each user receives the required medical attention. Similarly, the maintenance staff is constantly disinfecting all the spaces of the Clinic.
