Farewell Santa – we loved having you here in Casa de Campo and Altos de Chavón, but now it’s time for you to go back to the North Pole until next Christmas! Here are a wonderful collection of photos of Santa Claus romping around over Christmas time in Casa! Santa made his first appearance in Altos de Chavón on Saturday the 18th of December – spurred here by all the Christmas spirit and festivities during our Casa de Campo Living Bazaar Navideño. As the parents were busy shopping and the children were busy playing – Santa and his sexy Santitas appeared beneath the giant Christmas Tree with a great ‘HO HO HO’ which brought the kids running for photos and with long Christmas present wish lists! After his first appearance Santa reappeared again the following day during the Bazaar Navideño, just before the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony and once again made his jolly way through the crowds. Between the Bazaar Navideño and Christmas Eve, Santa was in fact VERY busy in Altos de Chavón – making short appearances every night to meet the excited children and even appearing at the Casa de Campo Living ‘Kids Christmas Party’ at Onno’s Bar to help us with the ‘Christmas Scavenger Hunt.’ Before departing to the North Pole, Santa (the Dominican version) made one final appearance at the Feria Barlovento on Saturday the 8th of January with a sign that read “ZORRI GAT STOCK INA TAPON BOT WIWICHU A MERRI CRISMAA” It would seem that Dominican Santa was on Dominican time! Here are my photos of Santa: The following photos of Santa were provided by Anselmo Grusso, one of Casa de Campo’s talented photographers. To read more about Anselmo, click here. [nggallery id=662]
