With the Hoedown 2011 happening tomorrow, Saturday the 2nd of July from 4pm in the FLAMBOYAN Conference Center in Casa de Campo, for which we have organized a special entrance to Casa de Campo for those who don’t normally have access – I decided to get myself on the Guagua and went LIVE on the radio of La Romana!

‘La Guagua’ is a local La Romana radio show aired on AMOR FM 91.9, Mondays through Fridays from 7.30am. It’s a great morning show and the perfect way to start your day in La Romana or Casa de Campo as the energetic Guagua team bring you local La Romana news, information and entertainment! Of course ‘La Guagua’ is aired in Spanish, or Dominican rather so if you’re not fully ‘aplatanada’ (Dominican-ised) – then this show is not for you!

La Guagua with: Dennis Sanchez, Ricardo Bello, Hilda Peguero, Tamy Flaquer, Maria Guerrero, Julio Cesar Piccirillo

So a little less than 3 years after arriving as a timid (ish) young (ish/er) English (100%) maths teacher, I found myself at 8am in the morning speaking Dominican on a Dominican radio show, to promote our upcoming Casa de Campo Living event, the Hoedown / Fiesta Americana – it’s truly incredible how life changes!

So for all my ex-pupils, my mother, and any other random fans I may (or may not) have out there, here is our video of my ‘performance’ on the Guagua:
