Costasur Dominicana has recently announced the appointment of Raúl Cendoya as the new General Manager with responsibility for the management of the La Romana Country Club’s operations.
The La Romana Country Club, located at the heart of Casa de Campo is a members-only club with its own pool, golf course designed by Pete Dye, tennis courts, clubhouse, shops, a gym, spa, and a playground.
This facility will now be managed by Raúl Cendoya, a professional golfer with more than 25 years of experience in golf operations as well as in teaching the game and retail golf, he graduated from Florida International University with a B.A. in Criminal Justice.
He took part in the Golf Channel’s Highway 18 show and was a member of the Nelson Cup team representing the PGA South. He is currently a player and serves on the Canita Tour Committee.
Raul joined the company in the role of Director of Golf in 2018 after four years working as Operations Director at TPC Eagle Trace, the former site of the PGA Honda Classic tournament. He had previously worked for Casa de Campo Resort & Villas in the position of Assistant Director of Golf.
In a letter from Costasur to La Romana Country Club members, they stated the following about Raúl; “His excellent performance, passion for his work, commitment, and dedication make him worthy of this promotion. We hope that all of our members and associates will extend him their warmest welcome during this new phase, during which Mr. Cendoya will seek to serve you with enthusiasm and aim to ensure everyone’s enjoyment of our facilities in keeping with our renowned distinction and exclusivity.”
