The Puerto Rican artist Christian Daniel arrived at the Fundación MIR school last Friday, August 17, excited to meet and spend time with the children of the foundation. During his visit he was very interested in learning more about the educational programs that are taught in the school, as he was impacted by the preparation and the development of the children when interacting with him.

With a bright smile on his face he toured the school together with Ana Karen Morales, General Director of the Fundación MIR Schools, and Sandra Hernández, Treasurer, before joining a large assembly in the school’s multipurpose room.

The students Felix Cruz Santana and Andy Medrano Febles had prepared a beautiful surprise for him when announced they would be performing one of his songs, upon hearing this the artist stood up and decided to sing it along with them.

Andy at the piano and Felix playing the guitar sang one of Christian Daniel’s most popular song “Ahora que te vas”, a song that the artist wrote to his father, whose dream of living the last days of his life in the Republic Dominican came true. Congratulations to the students of the MIR Foundation!

Before leaving Christian Daniel told the students how happy he was to see them there learning things that he himself did not have the opportunity to learn so young. He motivated them to follow their dreams and to continue studying to be prepared for life. He also made it clear that this is the first visit of many that he will make to the MIR Foundation.

The MIR Foundation is a nonprofit organization founded in 1988 that provides education, technical studies and medical care for children in the community. It was evident that Christian Daniel enjoyed his visit to the MIR Foundation, as he was seen laughing, hugging and carrying the children.

We hope to see you soon!
