Destination weddings are the new trend and Casa de Campo has seen many of them lately! In honor of this, we are sharing with you a magical wedding celebrated at Minitas beach a few months ago. This article was previously published in the Fall edition of our sister magazine, CasaLife.
Casa de Campo will always be a preferred location for destination weddings. When Priscilla Alvarez and her now-husband Gabriel Lorenzo decided to get married, they were hunting for the perfect place. An exclusive, elegant, and intimate setting that still offered a variety of fun activities their family and guests could enjoy. Casa de Campo offered that illustrious backdrop.
Priscilla and Gabriel met when she traveled to Detroit, MI for a Pediatric Residency position— he there already as a 1st-year resident, and captivated by her charm the two hit it off immediately. The rest, as they say, is history. Well into her 2-year residency program and 30hr work shifts, Priscilla says it was in thanks to her mother that her wedding came out so beautifully. “I could not have made it without her and my father.” Casa de Campo’s wedding coordinator, Rubi Mota also assisted with the event’s organization, and decoration was completed by ICC Dominicana. They worked closely with the bride and her mother so that the wedding was everything and more than imagined, as they in a short period of time crafted an unforgettable atmosphere. “Amazing, magical, inspiring, unique,” professed Priscilla as she searched for the right words to describe the occasion.
An evening ceremony under the grand night sky of Playa Minitas took place with a reception following at Bahia Chavon 1. When asked what was the most special moment of her wedding, Priscilla concluded: “This is a very difficult question to answer because we definitely have many special moments. If I had to pick one I would say reading our vows. Gabriel would pick the first look.” Many more wonderful instants can be witnessed in the pair’s wedding photos as they danced late into the evening amid friends, family, and the sparkling of enchanting lights.
