The seventh version of the Semana Santa Polo Tournament in Casa de Campo La Romana, was celebrated with great success on Saturday April 7th.

From Wednesday March 28th through to Saturday April 7th, players from around the country competed to be crowned the champions in the Semana Santa Polo Cup 2012. In total 8 teams competed in the prestigious event, 4 in the “high” 10-14 goal division; La Carbuccia Dewars 12, La Chamuscada, Office Depot and Propagas and 4 in the “low” 4-6 goal division; Baja Broncos, PT Hyundai Cabrera, La Lopera and Code Make-Up.
At 3pm on Saturday afternoon the final of the “low” division was battled out between La Lopera and Baja Broncos with La Lopera taking the Victory with 9 goals to 8 and later at 5pm the “high” division final was played when La La Chamuscada beat La Carbuccia Dewars 12 with 12 goals to 10.

Accompanying the finals was the party and prize-giving, which took place along side the Casa de Campo polo fields and united Casa de Campo villa owners with polo enthusiasts and visitors from Santo Domingo and across the country, who were in Casa de Campo to enjoy the Semana Santa.

During the awards ceremony trophies were awarded to the first and second place teams as well as to the best player and the best amateur player.
