The Palos Quitao Association celebrated its successful 18th edition of the charitable PQ Golf Invitational Tournament, at La Romana Country Club, Casa de Campo, resulting in winners of the 1st. place, the quartet made up of Roberto Pérez Treviño, Rafael Luciano, Emmanuel Rivera and Kiko Cabrera.

“This fair is known as the most exclusive event in golf, and the one with the greatest social impact in the country. This year, the La Merced Foundation was supported with the Tree of Hope initiative, the MD Ministry with school supplies, and those affected by Hurricane Fiona through donations amounting to RD$1.5 million in zinc, water, medicine, and food.”

Roig thanked all the sponsors who made the tournament possible with exclusive amenities and reiterated that although there are winners in the PQ tournament, the important thing is to have a good time, and share and enjoy with the family, the spirit that has always characterized them.

In addition, with this year’s contributions, the PQ Association is close to eight million pesos donated. Throughout this tradition, the Fundación Amigos Contra el Cáncer Infantil (Facci), the Instituto de Ayuda al Sordo Santa Rosa and Heartcare Dominicana have benefited.

This year the PQ Golf Tournament was held in a four-person scramble mode, with the participation of 160 players, the highest number of players to date. 27 golf holes were activated, with six holes in one. Raul Cendoya was the technical director.

They were also winners of the 1st. Net Place, Miguel Roig, Ferdinando Lamarche, Sócrates Cuello, and George Nader; of the 2nd Net place, Domingo Bermúdez, José Reyes, José Miguel Roig and Enrique Blanco; while the 3rd Net place corresponded to Joel Colón, Michel Negrete, Celso Marranzini and Rafi Blanco.

For the first time, the Senior category was awarded, resulting in the winners of the first gross Senior place, Miguel Barbero, Alejandro Santelises, Alejandro Zeller and Juan Ramos.
