Grace, style, and modern rhythms at Pointe Dance Center’s “Magic Dance Gala”

This post is also available in: Spanish

Last month, Pointe Dance Center presented their end of year recital “Magic Dance Gala”. The event took place in the auditorium of Colegio Inmaculado Corazón de María showcasing everything the students had learned this year, demonstrating their passion for dance and earning the applause of all who went to support them.

The show was divided into two acts: classical and modern/ urban dance. The audience was able to enjoy the performances of youngsters, who had started at the academy this year, all the way up to the more advanced dancers. Both acts were memorable and demonstrated the love these dancers have for the performing arts, from graceful ballet movements to energetic Hip Hop choreographies, not to mention an awesome light show that enhanced each presentation’s backdrop!

Congratulations to all the dancers who performed in the recital – you all did a spectacular job! – and also to their teachers who have helped them develop their skills throughout their time at the dance center. As the Director of Pointe, Gisell Roman points out, “Let us enjoy dance, music and what brings us happiness; let’s celebrate the possibility of filling auditoriums with movement and optimism and continue to defend cultural events as a way to strengthen and stimulate our cultural identity as individuals and communities.”

This day was definitely filled with dance and passion and it was clear everybody enjoyed the performances!
