On Monday, Feb. 12, the La Romana Family Clinic welcomed representatives from the Pincus Family Foundation and the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). This visit marked a significant moment in the partnership between healthcare institutions, aiming to enhance access and quality of medical services in the region.

During the visit, representatives from the Pincus Family Foundation and CHOP took a thorough tour of the La Romana Family Clinic facilities. They were accompanied by the Clinic’s Executive Director, Mina Halpern Lozada, and Jeffrey González, the program coordinator for students and volunteers. The tour allowed for in-depth discussions with department representatives, who showcased the impactful work being done to support the health needs of the clinic’s users. This exchange provided valuable insights and opportunities for future collaboration.

In addition to exploring the existing facilities, the visitors inspected the site designated for constructing the new La Romana Family Clinic. This expansion aims to significantly increase service availability and programs, benefiting residents of La Romana and the broader eastern region of the country.

The interaction between representatives of the Pincus Family Foundation, CHOP, and the La Romana Family Clinic team was highly productive. Ideas were shared with the common goal of improving community health and well-being.

The La Romana Family Clinic extends its sincere appreciation to the Pincus Family Foundation and CHOP for their visit and ongoing support of its mission to provide comprehensive and quality medical care to those in need in the region.
