Today, Wednesday, November 25th you are cordially invited to attend the fascinating conference, “Paul Giudicelli: El Rescate de la memoria” (Paul Giudicelli: The Rescue of Memory) by Architect Gamal Michelén at the Museo de la Altagracia (Museum of La Altagracia) in the city of Higuey.
Starting at 6pm, Gamal Michelén will give a lecture introducing the exhibition for the project, “Physicochemical characterization of materials used in ceramic murals by Paul Giudicelli. Diagnostic analysis, and proposal of conservation and intervention.”
This project is sponsored by the Ministry of Culture of the Dominican Republic, and seeks to familiarize people with the preservation of ceramic murals made by the outstanding and innovative Dominican artist, Paul Giudicelli in the 1960s. These murals have a great importance for the history of art in the Dominican Republic.
