In a spirited fusion of athleticism and enthusiasm, the eighth edition of the Bayahibe 10K race unfolded at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 17, in Bayahibe. Athletes and participants from diverse age groups and regions of the Dominican Republic convened to engage in an act of collective vitality, advocating for a more robust and sustainable future.

The Bayahibe 10K has firmly entrenched itself in the region as a tradition. Beyond being just an athletic competition, it represents an opportunity for the local community and sports enthusiasts to unite. For the eighth consecutive year, individuals of all ages and from various regions of the country came together to pursue a common goal of promoting a healthier and more sustainable future.

The event featured various entertainment activities before, during, and after the race, including Zumba sessions, foam parties and live DJs. Each participant received a medal, and prizes were awarded to the top three finishers in the Overall Male and Female categories and age-specific categories for both genders.

Soranyi Rodríguez clinched first in the Overall Female category, followed by Anayelis Ramírez in second place and Jaisa Sánchez in third place. Meanwhile, in the male category, Jilberto Santana Manzano secured first place, with Gratero Victoriano and Andrews Montilla taking the second and third spots, respectively.
