Last Saturday the 16th of June 2012, the night following the Abraham Lincoln School graduation and amazing after-party at Genesis nightclub, a group of Casa de Campo friends gathered at the Casa de Campo villa of Ivonna Sosa and Tato Caceres for a pool party and surprise birthday celebration for the one and only, Patricia Proaño.

Normally the “party planner” herself, Patty expected nothing more than a few quiet drinks with her best friends in Altos de Chavón, so when her and her husband Alfredo Alonzo stopped by Ivonna’s house for a cheeky “pre-drink”, she got the surprise of her life when her friends jumped out shouting “surprise” and singing Happy Birthday!
“We were very happy with the outcome of the party, even with the rain. The fact that is was put together from everyone invited made it very personal. We wanted to surprise Patricia with something different, and considering how hot it has been, a pool party in the dark came to our minds. Then came the idea of the 80’s and we asked the DJ to select music, especially merengues, from that time. Great friends, great food, great music and glitter of rain, magically filled the night with joy.We love Patty!”

The party which was organized and hosted by Patty’s best friends was a group effort, with everyone bringing a little something to contribute – from the delicious birthday cup cakes, to shrimp, meat, eggplant, pastellitos and much more which kept us munching all night long!
