Parties in Casa: Celebrating Nasry's Birthday

On Monday the 22nd of March, Milagros de Stefan threw a party to celebrate her husband, Nesry Stefan’s birthday! The party started at 9pm – deliberately a little late, to avoid the stress of a dinner and to get the party going straight away! As we arrived the ladies were given glow sticks in pink, yellow and orange to hang around our necks – a pretty clear sign that this was to be a real party!

The party took place in Milagros and Nesry’s beautiful Casa de Campo villa – which has a garden perfect for throwing a good party! With the bar, the band, the deserts and the dance floor laid out around the swimming pool, everything looked beautiful, although there was a danger of having a little too much fun and falling in the pool! Milagros organised a wonderful array of deserts (which you can see below), which were all but devoured by the many guests – not because we were hungry, but because they were delicious! My favourite were the cupcakes stuffed with chocolate fudge and dulce de leche (from Santo Domingo) and the flan which Milagros prepared herself.

With no formal dinner and plenty of drinks the PARTY got going really early on – it was before 10pm and everyone was already dancing and grooving around the dance floor. The band and singer were fantastic, playing a range of disco tunes and latino music to suit the tastes and dance moves of everyone!
