Summer is almost here, and if you’re wondering what to do with your time here in Casa de Campo, why not try painting at the annual “Romana in Colors” painting workshop?
It’s been two years since the first edition of the now annual painting workshop,”Romana in Colors” in which we were amazed by the incredible talent hidden within the members of our wonderful Casa de Campo community (sometimes unknown by themselves!).
So whether you consider yourself an artist or not this is a great chance to do something new and different this summer – by the end of the course you will have several paintings of your own and will have surely made some new friends who share the love for art just as you do, and you may even uncover a hidden talent! You never know, just think about it… you could be the next Picasso!
This time the course will be held by the incredible oil painter Hilarie Lambert, who enjoys painting vintage toys, notable architecture or coastal scenes, but despite painting such common things, nothing about her work is “ordinary”.
Hilarie will give the participants tools to simplify the process while extensively covering techniques that will help students to capture enough information “on site” so that works can be successfully finished later in a studio.
She will cover all the basics. Some of the topic that the class will develop include composition, value, color and edges.
