Despite so much going on in Casa de Campo right now, we thought you’d be interested to know that the famous musical “Oliver” is coming to Santo Domingo at the beginning of June.
“Oliver” will be shown on June 6th, 7th and 8th, at 7:30 pm, at Teatro Nacional Edwardo Brito in the Sala Carlos Piantini. The how is being produced by JAM Academy, who in previous years have put on hit shows such as: Disney’s “AristoCats Kids”, “The Wizard of Oz” and Disney’s “The Beauty and the Beast”.
This musical is based on Charles Dickens novel, Oliver Twist, which premiered in 1960 in London’s West End. It’s about a 13-year-old orphan named Oliver Twist, who is transferred to a workhouse in London. There he is mistreated, malnourished and the guardians squander funds offered for childcare.

Oliver will be played by Megan Sánchez; Dodger by Annabelle Aquino; Fagin by Joaquín Ruiz; Nancy by Francesca Yarull; Bill Sykes by Laura Pernas; and Widow Corney by Carlos Martínez.
Other actors included in the production are: Gabriel George, José Arturo Ruiz; Gabriella Sánchez, Priscila Maltés, Javier Peterson, Ana Isabel Hernández, José Lantigua, Steven Velázquez and Gabriela Gómez.
