On Saturday, October 8th, Altos de Chavón celebrated their version of Oktoberfest, and boy can we say it was a complete and utter success!! Families and friends walked around its cobblestones enjoying all the activities that had been planned for them. You could hear the music and children’s laughter in the air; it was truly magnificent. There wasn’t a soul that wasn’t into the festivities! Children were coloring, playing, or running around the village while their parents were watchful but at the same time enjoying the event. The Plaza was beautifully decorated with string lights and the area in front of the church was set up with a stage, rectangular tables, beer stands, a cigar roller, and a 360 Photobooth that was a huge hit!  Guests and residents enjoyed a wide range of local artisanal beers such as Proost, Republica Brewing, BroBeer, CibaoBrewing, Mercatodo, Manuel GonzalezCuesta, and Canabespoke, among others. Within the BBQ menu, the resort offered various types of German sausages with sauerkraut, pretzels, pork leg sandwich, and German apple cake. YUM!! While the restaurants located in Altos de Chavón were integrated into the event with special menus and beer offers. The musical lineup started at 7 pm with DJ Sergio Pierret who got everybody pumped and left the people wanting more— and then they got more! The musical presentations continued with Stephany Tobioli and to end this spectacular event, Rigo and the Masters delighted us with their impressive repertoire. During the night there was even a surprise visit by the Torito of the local baseball team, the Toros del Este! We’ve heard great comments all around, everybody loved how everything turned out! It was a wonderful event that enlivened Altos de Chavón, it definitely something we wish to see more often!
