Following the huge success of the “Zumbathon” charity event hosted by the Hogar del Niño in the Marina Casa de Campo last November, a “Zumba Master Class” has now been added to the ever growing list of events and activities taking place as part of the Hogar del Niño fundraising event.

The “Zumba Master Class”, a slightly smaller version of the Zumbathon, but just as energizing and fun is scheduled to take place on Saturday afternoon the 18th of February at 4pm at the La Romana Country Club.

Fefi Salvatierra, who teaches Zumba classes at “Juanita” restaurant/bar in the Marina Casa de Campo, expects to be joined by around 50 Casa de Campo ladies (and perhaps a few energetic men) for this high-energy, butt-shaking “Zumba Master Class”, a cross between a dancing and aerobics – with lots of shaking and gyrating to loud latin music.

According to Sandra Alvarado, director of the Hogar del Niño, the Zumba Master Class will be the warm-up for the dinner-dance party! Sounds awesome – we can’t wait!

The Hogar del Niño Weekend 2011 – AWESOME!

Last year’s Hogar del Niño weekend was legendary – most memorable for the addition of the Bike Marathon and by sightings of Pitbull (the famous rapper, singer, song-writer), who showed his support of the Hogar del Niño by attending the dinner-dance celebration!
