beah This New Year’s Eve was celebrated by literally thousands of Casa de Campo villa owners, residents and visitors on Playa Minitas. Most, if not all celebrated the stroke of midnight with loved ones at private dinners and/or parties before flocking to the beach party of the year… The central stage area was set up literally over the sea, with the dance floor essentially covering the rest of the fenced off beach area and was, by 1am swarming with thousands of (slightly) inebriated or high-spirited party-goers dancing and drinking and drinking and dancing on the sofas, and chairs and drinking…. The band were fantastic – playing merengue, reggaeton, dance, just about every different type of music possible and kept  going until some point before sunrise (it was New Year’s – please don’t expect me to remember the details!)  After the band, came the DJ, who kept the party pumping until sunrise and beyond – I left sometime around 8am and there were still a good few hundred lunatics dancing at that time! And here are some more of the photos, after this I only have one more batch left…….
