Did you ever want to perfect your photography skills or design your own jewelry? It is never too late to learn! Altos de Chavón School of design offers a series of courses to boost your creativity and talent on a variety of subjects.
The Continuing Education program designed for adults, offers short courses in different fields such as: Fashion, Fine Arts, Interior Design, Graphic & Digital Design and Photography. These courses are six weeks long and teach many design disciplines where the school’s experienced teachers will gladly share their knowledge. Luis Hidalgo is teaching a drawing class and has 10 years of teaching experience, along with having written and illustrated numerous articles on fashion for local and international publications. In 2009, he had his first one-man show, “Disturbia”, at the Centro Cultural de España in Santo Domingo. Irene Rodriguez is teaching introduction to Interior Design and has extensive experience in designing for both residential and commercial clients, including corporations and hotels. None better than Katia Rios will lead you in Fashion Trends and History. Her product development background and manufacturing extends to brands such as Marks & Spencer, Hugo Boss, Nordstrom, Gap, Nike, and Ralph Lauren just to name a few.
