Great news everyone, the new Casa de Campo second main gate is now open!
Yes. that’s right, folks. The new Casa de Campo second main gate which connects the Casa de Campo resort directly onto the Autopista del Coral highway to Punta Cana and Santo Domingo, is now open and in use. This new main gate also directly connects to the La Romana Airport, Casa de Campo. Within the resort, the new road leading into the heart of Casa de Campo has been named Avenida Rey Juan Carlos I after the King of Spain who inaugurated the new road earlier this month.
IMPORTANT NOTE, PART 1: The new Casa de Campo second main gate can only currently be used by people who have passes, on your way in and out you need to show your pass. This means that any guests who needs to register must do so at the Casa de Campo villa owners club at the other main entrance (known as “La Cana”).
IMPORTANT NOTE, PART 2: Although the new Casa de Campo second main gate is open, that does not mean it is completed. If you choose to enter or exit Casa de Campo through this entrance please take care, progress is still underway and that means you can expect some heavy equipment and other obstacles in the area.
“The new Casa de Campo second main entrance is now open and can be used by all persons with passes, this does not inlcude taxis or any kind of service vehicle. However please be aware that work on this new gate and the road is still a work in progress and will continue to be a work in progress for the next 60 days.” Juan Velazquez, manager of operations for Costasur Dominicana told Casa de Campo Living.
