This Friday, the 13th of November, the Altos de Chavon art gallery cordially invites you to the opening of it’s newest art exhibit ‘Artistas en residencia, otoño 2009.’ The opening will take place at 7.30pm with a ‘cocktel de apertura,’ at the Altos de Chavon main art gallery.
This new exhibit will feature mainly work from artist Santiago Paulos, but will also include art work of other Altos de Chavon School of Design, fine arts students.

Santiago attended the Alvaro Amengual’s drawing and painting studio and has been exhibiting regularly since 2003.
In 2007 he received the Antonio Gala Foundation scholarship, in Spain, selected by Alfonso Emilio Pérez Sánchez, ex-director of the Prado Museum. In 2006 he was selected for the Paul Cézanne prize organized by the Embassy of France in Uruguay. In 2004 he was honored with the first prize of the Batuz-Sachsen Foundation (Altzella, Germany).
Currently he is an Artist in Residence at the Altos de Chavón School of Design, where he is also curating a project for this exhibition with the Fine Arts students and their coordinator Raúl Miyar.
