NBA Hall of Famer Alonzo Mourning vacations in Casa de Campo

Alonzo Mourning, NBA Hall of Famer was at Casa de Campo this past weekend, where he enjoyed rounds of golf and R&R with some friends.

Mourning is a former American professional basketball player, who played for Miami Heat for the majority of his 16 year NBA career and he loves Casa de Campo!

During his mini-break in the Casa de Campo Resort La Romana, Mourning played on the popular Pete Dye designed Dye Fore golf course in Altos de Chavón and also tried out Pete Dye’s latest “new nines” at Casa de Campo, which will officially open this Fall.

Always thinking of others – as is evident with the recent success of his annual fundraising event ‘Zo’s Summer Grove’ in Miami, while at the Casa de Campo resort, Mourning took time out of his vacation to visit the children of the Fundacion MIR in La Romana. Mourning actually went and visited the MIR Esperanza boy’s school where he shared some of his best basketball tips and tricks with the Fundación MIR’s boys basketball team. [Click here for photos of when the boys basketball team met Lebron James]  This is Mourning’s fourth visit to the Casa de Campo resort La Romana in the Dominican Republic and he enjoyed it so much – he said he is already making plans for a return trip! He told Casa de Campo representatives that, he finds Casa de Campo very relaxing……whenever he is here he enjoys a massage at the Cygalle Healing Spa and really likes playing golf. Although he loves all of Casa de Campo’s Pete Dye designed courses; the Teeth of the Dog, the Links and the Dye Fore,  his personal favorite course is the Dye Fore!
