On Saturday, August 20th, Wao Gallery & Cultural Center in Altos de Chavón opened the joint exhibition of the artists José Morillo and Frantz Zephírin, “SPIRITUAL HARMONY”.
A magical night, where the union of two cultures full of an artistic journey and an enriched palette of colors is mixed to ensure that the union of the pieces evokes “harmony, spirit, and peace”. Morillo’s work is recognized nationally and internationally, because in it he elevates the features of Dominicanness, including religiosity and magical-religious rites. For his part, Zephirin is characterized by his bright colors, patterns, and compact compositions, a very creative and original style that caught the attention of the art world in Haiti and his career took off very quickly.
The words of welcome were given by the Curator of Wao Gallery & Cultural Center, Mrs. Margarita González Auffant, who, accompanied by both artists, highlighted the artistic trajectory of each one from their beginnings in the art world to their international exhibitions.
A total of 33 works in mixed media and acrylic on canvas are masterfully exhibited. The Museography was in charge of Sanil García hand in hand with the artists. This exhibition was sponsored by Casa Brugal and Amelia Pereyra Eventos. A large number of artists and special guests gathered for this special night.
The exhibition will remain open until September 20th from Wednesday to Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Sundays and Tuesdays from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., closed on Mondays.
