Back in September of last year, we announced that the construction of the Multiplaza La Romana, the city’s first mall, was about to begin. Well, a year and several days from this announcement, we are excited to let you know that this December the shopping center, which will feature more than 80 stores from different brands, will be officially open!
The Multiplaza La Romana is located on 28,000 m² of land and is 3-5 minutes from the center of the city. We understand that construction is about 80% complete, and for December – confirmed by the owners of the project – the mall will be officially inaugurated.
There will be no need to go to Santo Domingo, as this new center will have everything from movie theaters with the latest technology, and a Subway restaurant, to name a few.
Among the brands that have already confirmed their place in the Multiplaza La Romana are the following: La Sirena, Caribean Cinemas, Bellon, Smart Fit and Ikea as main anchors. In addition to establishments of Pollos Victorina, Pala Pizza, Nathan’s, Jade Teriyaki, Bon, Burger King, Subway, Pizza Hut, Cinco Gelatto, Asociacion Cibao, Banco BDI, Banco Adopem, Claro, Viva, Mobix, Edeeste, All Vision, Farmaconal, Farmax, Equivalenza, Payless, Caribe Express, Avis, Palu, Vitasalud, Party Fiesta, New Romance, Abatte Barbershop, Totto, The Face and Body Shop, Lemon Fashion, Café Santo Domingo, Blanco y Negro, Code Makeup, Fun Galaxy, and the accessories store KB.
But obviously, these are not even the half, as the complex will feature 102 shops in total!
We are anxiously waiting for December when we will have the opportunity to explore this new shopping center as soon as it opens. It will certainly be a place for the whole family!
