The Badgley Mischka fashion show during the Fundacion MIR’s Magical Splendor for Life Gala on saturday the 22nd of January was for fashionistas (and all women who like pretty dresses) wonderful. All the dresses were simply stunning. The Fundacion MIR’s Magical Splendor for Life fundraising weekend began with welcome cocktails and dinner at Casa Grande on the Friday evening, continued with a charity golf tournament at the La Romana Country Club and came to a memorable close with the Magical Splendor for Life Gala in Altos de Chavón. The fashion show took place during dinner and was much longer than I’d expected – 15 minutes of exceptional fashion with more than 35 different dresses, swimsuits and resort wear showcased. Badgley Mischka lived up to their ‘red-carpet fashion’ reputation with a collection filled with exquisite cocktail dresses and stunning floor length gowns. At the end of the show James Badgley and Mark Mischka made a brief appearance and were congratulated and kissed by guest models, Eve Aria, Miss Dominican Republic and Brazilian model Ana Carolina de Fonseca.

For those of you who missed it, here is my video of the fashion show: As you can see from these photos of the fashion show, according to Badgley Mischka this years new black is very definitely beige, light brown, creamy white…..

With the help of benefactors and individual contributions, the programs provide a home, medical assistance, education and technical preparation for the people that are most in need in our community.
