MIR Magical Splendor For Life: Golf Tournament

The Fundacion MIR’s Magical Splendor for Life fundraising weekend wasn’t all about fashion (although that was my favourite part), on Saturday the 22nd of January a golf tournament was held at the La Romana Country Club. After a morning of heavy rain, we were afraid the tournament would be cancelled, but as they golfers were about to tee off the sun came out and we were all treated to yet another sunny day in the Caribbean!

Although many of the golfers told me they were playing ‘just for fun’ (you know who you are), everyone wants to win really so for the glory of the winners here are the results: Ladies Championship GROSS DIVISION Champion: Claudia Meloni NET DIVISION Champion: Mary Ledesma 41 Pts. ABOUT MIR The Fundacion MIR (Mission International Rescue) is a non-profit organization that works to supply the Dominican Republic’s most marginalized people with a variety of life-altering services. Since 1990, we have served the women, youth and children of La Romana and the Eastern region of the Dominican Republic by partnering with and providing funding for social programs.
