I’m in the mood for dancing……the Fundacion MIR’s Magical Splendor for Life Gala was from start to finish really rather spectacular; dinner and cocktails at Casa Grande, the Golf Tournament at the La Romana Country Club, the Badgley Mischka Fashion Show and then music and dancing with the Hermanos Rosarios and DJ Gringo! Immediately after the fashion show the catwalk disappeared in the wink of an eye to reveal a dance floor and a grand stage on which the Hermanos Rosarios burst forth and spurring everyone away from their deserts and onto the dance floor to whirl around to the merengue and salsa beats that we all love! At some point in the stampede to the dance floor and in the midst of all the dancing Eva Arias, Miss Republica Dominicana who had been modeling in the show, made an appearance decked out in a stunning Badgley Mischka dress adorned with her tiara and sash and was practically mobbed (well not quiet) by the press for photos! Of course Eva was more than happy to pose for numerous photos, before being swept off to the dance floor. The evening was nicely rounded off with a few more Ron Atlantico mojitos (wow I love Ron Atlantico), which paved the way nicely to some real boogying on the dance floor to the beats of DJ Gringo.
