In case you have somehow not noticed, planned ahead and made the appropriate plans to take care of the kids, this weekend it the annual Fundacion MIR “Family weekend for Life” event. The event will that has been clearly anticipated by so many, will surly be nothing short of the fantastic soirée that we have all come to expect.
The events are simple, fun and open to all who wish to participate and support such a worthy cause. Be it by participating in the Golf tournament on the teeth of the Dog, the Tennis Tournament taking place at the La Romana Country Club, attending the lavish “Dancing for Life” awards ceremony or “After Party”, or simply writing a check; there are lots of ways to help such a great cause and make a difference.
For those needing to be in the know, here are the details:
- The Tennis Tournament begins at 9am at the La Romana Country Club and costs only $200.00, which includes participation in the tournament, as well as dinner and the after party.
- The Golf Tournament begins at 1pm on the Country Club and costs only US$250.00, which includes participation in the tournament, as well as dinner and the after party.
- For those not able to make it to the tournaments, but still keen on supporting the cause can join the “Dancing for Life” dinner for $150.00, or the after party for $50.00.
As we have seen in past events, the ever popular Mystery Blue Box Wall is back. For those unfamiliar with the Tiffany Mystery Blue Box Wall, its very simple. You purchase a box, the contents of which are a little bit of a gamble as some boxes contain something worth more than the purchase prices, while some less. The good news however, is that unlike gambling, its not the house that wins, but the children!
