* UPDATE: See the recently released video of Minitas Beach Club by Studio Fini below! *
The coolest thing about the resort might be yet to come. We all have our favorite sections of Casa de Campo and the new Minitas Beach Club is certainly going to be one of them. Construction has been underway over the past several weeks, but what’s really going on behind the scene? A complete overhaul of the preexisting restaurant —with revamped interiors, expanded areas for dining and lounging, and an infinity pool— will introduce residents and resort guests to Casa de Campo’s modern style of luxury.
Minitas Beach is one of the most popular areas of the resort that drives traffic throughout the day. It’s a destination people come to for the beach, sand and sun, and a first-class amenity on the beach will further add value to the resort, enhancing its appeal to tourists and real-estate investors. Designed by renowned local architects, Gianfranco and Nicola Fini of Studio Fini, the new beach club will offer increased restaurant seating by 40%. An expanded dining-room, a floating deck, and a pool deck will allow for the creation of more dining environments. The restaurant will have no walls but its dining-room’s wooden flooring and white, wooden paneling will make you feel right at home and under cozy interiors. Woven baskets and chairs, salvaged wooden tables, and an overall minimalistic concept gives way to appreciating nature’s vibrant surrounding colors.
Feel as though you are hovering over the cerulean sea under a tropical canopy on the floating deck, or dine feet away from the 23m infinity pool under large gazebos and smaller “pergolas” set amid lush foliage. These enhanced exclusive areas are fit for families and group gatherings. Take in the exceptional tangerine-hued sunset from all sides while you continue your afternoon beach day into the night at Minitas Beach Club & Restaurant’s bar and lounge area, enlivened by live music with local and international DJs.
Executive Chef Anthony Masas and Food and Beverage Director Charles Keusters add their signature style to the new concept and food selection with a versatile menu inspired by European and Latin American culinary traditions, along with continuously evolving chef’s specials. The restaurant can seat 220 people and an enlarged kitchen with state-of-the-art appliances will be able to handle the greater volume. Through Minitas Beach Club & Restaurant, Casa de Campo capitalizes on a element that didn’t exist before. President Andrés Pichardo Rosenberg notes: “It is a beach club and restaurant designed to be established as a unique destination in its category in the Dominican Republic, standing out for the quality of its service and gastronomic offer, in addition to the elegance that characterizes Casa de Campo. An important consideration in the design of the space was to conceptualize a modern and minimalist space that will highlight the natural beauty of the environment. We are confident that this investment will contribute to the development and tourism growth of the resort, benefiting our shareholders and villa owners.”
Minitas Beach Club & Restaurant is set to open by the end of the year, and no doubt do we look forward to spending our days and nights here in a space that revolutionizes the concept of luxury living in Casa de Campo.
