The Latin America Pro-Am took place from Aug. 19 to 24, 2024, at Casa de Campo Resort & Villas in the Dominican Republic. Golfers from across the region competed on the Teeth of the Dog and Dye Fore courses, renowned for their stunning views and challenging design.
“We are thrilled to have hosted another successful edition of the Latin America Pro-Am,” said Manuel Relancio, director of the learning center at Casa de Campo. “It was an incredible week with a strong field of professionals and great camaraderie. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive.”

Mexico Wins the Champions Cup
The Mexican team, led by Armando López Ron, José Luis Velázquez, Francisco Gómez, Oscar Martín and Oscar Yoshinori, won the Champions Cup. Their competitive performance throughout the tournament secured the title.
“Winning this tournament is always special. It’s a great team effort,” said López Ron. “Beyond the victory, the entire week was incredible. I’ve been attending this event for ten years, and the friendship, the food, and the overall experience are unbeatable. Playing Teeth of the Dog and Dye Fore, two of the best courses in the world, makes this event truly exceptional.”

Puerto Rico Takes Traditional Tournament Title
In the traditional tournament, which blends professional and amateur talent, the Puerto Rico team excelled, winning the championship. Golfers Miguel Suárez, Carlos Varona, Brent Colby, William Conoly Brown and Gerald Kleis delivered impressive team performances throughout the event.
The Latin America Pro-Am offered more than the competition. Participants and their families enjoyed playing two world-class courses and participating in social events, making the week an unforgettable experience.
This event continues to be a highlight of the regional golf calendar, blending top-tier golf with the beauty and hospitality of Casa de Campo.
