In this week’s ‘Memories of Casa de Campo’ post Carol Burke recalls some merry times spent in the old La Caña Bar in the Casa de Campo hotel. The old La Caña bar has now been replaced by the La Caña restaurant and lounge by Il Circo – part of the major Casa de Campo hotel renovations.

Caña Bar was a great place to meet visitors when they arrived at Casa de Campo.  In the afternoons, it was a cool, quiet place for sitting and talking with friends over a cocktail and happy hour snack.

Caña Bar was located next to the main pool, the Tropicana Restaurant, and El Patio Cafe.

Sometimes food festivals took place in Caña Bar to complement Happy Hour.

The Food and Beverage department’s artist made an Asian style structure and dragon decoration.

Caña Bar also offered a great martini.
