Ivette Rivera Objio, is a 22-year-old girl from La Romana, who dreams of representing the Miss Dominican Republic Universe pageant 2013. Which is why she is working hard to be selected Miss Dominican Republic Universe on August 3rd, at the event being held at the Hard Rock Hotel in Punta Cana.
Ivette was born in the Central Romana Hospital, located on Liberty Avenue (Avenida Libertad) in La Romana. Then, at age 4 she moved to Santo Domingo, but as a true Romanense has made numerous visits to La Romana.
In Santo Domingo, at age 14, she began her career as a model at John Casablancas Modeling School. Standing out for her beauty, Ivette also studied at the school of Socrates McKinney a Dominican renowned stylist.

She is currently studying Publishing at Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE) and doing modeling and acting for EME Agency, from which she obtained some roles in international films being filmed in the Dominican Republic that will be released in 2014 such as “Cabin Fever 3”, “Way Back Home” and “Double Due”.
Also, the model has participated in commercials of numerous recognised brands and in major national events such as the “Dominican Bridal Week” fair.
Talking about the Miss Dominican Republic Universe contest, Ivette Objio explained that although she has spent much time dabbling in modelling she had not competed before. “People told me, go participate, go participate, you look like Amelia Vega! But I felt insecure. Now I am ready and I have also the support of my friends and family,” she said.
The gorgeous Ivette told us she is very excited about the contest, and feels she stands a good chance. She does not feel intimidated by the other girls in the contest, while acknowledging that others are beautiful too.
“I love La Romana. This is a great tourist point in the country and thanks to La Romana the country has become known far abroad,” she said.
