Marqués de Cáceres wine tasting at La Enoteca

Never a dull moment in Casa de Campo! On an otherwise pretty quiet evening in mid-February – we, along with select members of the Casa de Campo community were invited to a wine tasting event at La Enoteca in the Marina Casa de Campo.  La Enoteca ran by Vinos S.A is both a wine bar and a wine cellar – the place for Casa de Campo villa owners to stock up their wine cellar, as well as liquor cabinets. Yet on this particular evening, La Enoteca was filled with laughter and the chink of glasses as some 20 members of the community tasted – or rather enjoyed the full range of fine wines from rosé to gran reserva of  the “Marqués de Cáceres” winery in Cenicero, Rioja Alta, Spain. The wine tasting itself was led by Joel Martinez, an amusing Spanish gentleman, who, as well as being a knowledgeable sommelier is also the sales manager for Marqués de Cáceres to the entire Caribbean region and South America.

Also taking part in the evening was Joselo Rodriguez, manager of La Enoteca in the Marina Casa de Campo, who on this occasion was joined by Jeannette Rosario Ortiz, Brand Manager for Vinos SA. and Carlos José Yamin Sanchez, Vinos SA. sales manager for the East of the Dominican Republic. A wonderful evening of great wine and company – and there was even some cheese! CHEERS!
