The fishing season which each year is celebrated in the Marina Casa de Campo reuniting numerous fishermen in a series of activities, tournaments and events, from early March through to the end of June, has unfortunately come to an end… However the many members of the different crews involved in this productive season, were treated to a wonderfully fun closing BBQ celebration hosted by the Marina Casa de Campo at the Casa de Campo Yacht Club!
With 7 boats participating in the fishing season, who reported 271 Blue Marlin releases in just 68 days of fishing, the Marina Casa de Campo welcomed the crew and owners of the “Betsy”, “Therapy”, “Due Course” and “La Chacha” boats with a relaxing and delicious BBQ accompanied by drinks sponsored by the Cervecería Nacional Dominicana and it’s very popular beers Presidente and Presidente Light.

Thanks to the great enthusiasm of the many fishermen of La Romana and Casa de Campo communities, the members of Capitanía de Puerto, who delivered the reports and assisted the fishing boats throughout the season, as well as Captain Jose Rodriguez and his wife Merlin Barrios, who as every year lent their undying support to this year’s season, fishing season 2012 was a great success! So successful in fact that the Marina Casa de Campo are already planning events and activities for the fishing season 2013!

Whilst the official fishing season in the Marina Casa de Campo has ended, they have organized a special “Dockside Fishing Tournament” for the whole family to enjoy! We look forward to seeing you there!
