During the tournament, the players enjoyed refreshments and cigars as well as a delicious lunch during the awards ceremony.  This seventh edition of the La Romana golf tournament was dedicated to Alfonso Paniagua, former Executive Vice President of Costasur Dominicana, who was recognized for his outstanding leadership in the tourism development of the La Romana destination. Andrés Fernández, president of the Hotel Association and the La Romana Bayahibe Tourism Cluster, highlighted Paniagua’s years of experience and hard work with Costasur Dominicana. He went on to say that he has always seen him as an enthusiastic promoter of social and educational initiatives as recognized his overall contributions to the country’s tourism industry.  This year’s tournament was very successful thanks to the support of a number of companies that helped make the event and the amazing prizes a reality.
