There is no better time than the Casa de Campo summertime for a Luau Party… so when last Saturday the 24th of August the Casa de Campo Yacht Club in the Marina Casa de Campo united the community in tropical Hawaiian-style we said ALOHA to party time!
The party planners of this gathering certainly did not take a lei’d back approach to the decorations… Guests were welcomed into the Casa de Campo Yacht Club under a limbo pole and greeted by quiet the array of thematic decorations – from tropical plants and flowers to grass skirts and tiki torches.
While it was not a costume party, that didn’t stop the guests getting into the Luau party mood… with tropical white dresses, colorful Hawaian shirts, bold flower prints and of course everyone got lei’d!
Sponsored by Brugal rum there was a delicious selection of tropical cocktails on offer and later in the night not one, but two crispy and delicious roasted pigs (prepared by Carlitos Pichardo of Dom Ham) made a brief appearance before they were quickly devoured by the ravenous guests!
